The Hollow Men

The eyes are not here
There are no eyes here
In this valley of dying stars
In this hollow valley
This broken jaw of our lost kingdoms

In this last of meeting places
We grope together
And avoid speech
Gathered on this beach of the tumid river

Sightless, unless
The eyes reappear
As the perpetual star
Multifoliate rose
Of death’s twilight kingdom
The hope only
Of empty men.

-T.S. Elliot, The Hollow Men

The Tyrant has used these inscrutable minions to his great advantage as they march forth to every corner of the kingdom to impress his will upon its people. Silent and deadly, they march en masse to battle in a lockstep wave, overwhelming all in their way. Though The Tyrant does employ servants that have volunteered from certain cities and townships that have willingly aligned themselves with his power, it is the crushing might of these enigmatic troops that acts as The Tyrant’s heavy fist, enforcing his will.
